Data stored on your device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to RemindLink servers. This applies to both Android and iOS:
- URLs and link titles you save
- Reminder dates, times, and repeat settings
- Tags and bookmark categories
- App preferences and theme settings
- Backup files you export
RemindLink currently has no user accounts, backend servers, or databases.
Analytics & crash reporting
Both Android and iOS versions use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics by Google, to understand how the app is used and fix crashes quickly. Firebase automatically collects and sends the following data to Google's servers:

Notifications
RemindLink uses local notifications only. Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device using the native OS scheduler — no push notification service or external server is involved.
- Notifications fire from your device — no internet required
- No notification content is transmitted to any server
- No third-party messaging SDK is used
Backup & export
The Backup feature saves a file to a location you choose on your device (or a cloud service like iCloud Drive or Google Drive). This transfer is entirely under your control.
- RemindLink does not initiate or receive any backup data
- We never see or store your backup files
- Files saved to cloud storage are governed by that provider's own privacy policy
App permissions
RemindLink requests only the permissions needed for its features:
- Notifications — Both platforms. Required to deliver reminders at your chosen time.
- Camera (optional) — Both platforms. Only if you use the QR code scanner to import bookmarks.
- Storage (Android only) — Only when exporting or importing a backup file. iOS uses the system document picker — no permission needed.
No location, contacts, microphone, or other sensitive permissions are requested on either platform.
Data retention
Data stored on your device is retained until you delete the app or clear app data. You are in full control.
Firebase retains event-level data for typically 2 months and aggregate analytics for 14 months. See Google's data retention docs for details.
Third-party links
When you open a saved bookmark, your device browser or the target app handles that request. We have no control over the privacy practices of those websites or services.
Children's privacy
RemindLink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Firebase analytics data is anonymous and not linked to identity.
If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your rights
Since RemindLink stores all bookmark data locally on your device, you have complete control. To delete all app data, simply uninstall RemindLink or clear app data via your device settings.
For Firebase analytics data, you can opt out via your device's advertising settings (Android: Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking).

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app features change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
